Pop up windows can be extremely effective in gaining a user's attention as they load a page. Pop-ups open their own window and contain graphics, HTML, animation, or any combination of the three. Pop-ups close on their own after a 10-second interval but must be limited to a frequency of cap of 1. See also Pop-under
